Disneyland Tokyo

We woke up early, before 7am so we could get fed and grab a bus to Disneyland Tokyo.

We got through the morning city, avoided the various commuters, and bought tickets for 750 am, which would put us at the park by opening.

We got distracted in the shuffle and got off at the first stop, waited in the line for Tokyo Sea, and then took a train to the right park, where we waltzed right in.

We did a lot of the usual rides, Roger Rabbit, Star Tours, Monsters Inc, teacups, Pirates of the Caribbean.

We also grabbed a quick snack at a Tomorrowland diner.

We also scored reservations at the Blue Bayou, which we've been trying to get in Anaheim for years. It was easily the most expensive meal of the whole trip.

After the fancy lunch, we did big thunder railroad. The people running the ride we're really worried that I wouldn't fit on the ride, and so they pulled me out of the line, took me all the way around through back doors and secret entrances, sat me down in the front row of the ride, took me out again and put me back in the line. The woman who was helping me spoke very little English, but was super nice the whole time and used Google translate to explain what was going on. It was a surreal experience, but a fun way to break up a long wait.

After that, 4/5 of us bought a fastpass for splash mountain (Morgan hates wet shoes at theme parks). It was definitely a highlight of the day for the kids.

Lastly, we tried our luck at the shooting gallery. The guns were very accurate, but the kids apparently don't have a lot of experience shooting guns (oops, sorry not sorry) so we learned some new skills.

We did a little bit of shopping on the way out of the park, and grabbed the bus back to Shinjuku.

We hit the market on the way home, grabbing breakfast and snacks for tomorrow, our last full day in Japan.

We've got a petting zoo cafe in the afternoon, and shopping in the morning. Hopefully it'll be an easy day.
